Capturing the motion of the floating lanterns at Pingxi, Taiwan. And can you see that panda lantern in the background? It was super clumsy as it rose slower than the rest 🙂

Thanks, Helen. This is an annual festival, usually during late January or early February. It was awesome when everyone released their lanterns at the same moment. But even if you are visiting the small town at other times, you can still random lanterns floating in the sky … everyday, day and night, rain or shine!

Hello Monica, this was a festival during the Chinese New Year, so you’ll probably not see as many lanterns in September. However, you’re still likely to see random lanterns floating up throughout the day and night. The old street has a nostalgic charm. Enjoy!
