Tokyo Apartments

No fences. Just walls. Everyone living within their clear-cut boundaries.

Such an intricate shot of apartments in Japan. So in-your-face. When you buy an apartment, you are essentially buying a space in the air 😀 It must be cramped in those apartments. But I’ve lived in one all my life and don’t mind…I really like my own personal space to myself. And the smaller it is, the more I learn to live with less material possessions 🙂

Thanks, Amy. This is one of my personal favorites although it is not the prettiest. It may seem like an easy snapshot but actually quite difficult to compose, to get the symmetry and to tackle the problem of converging vertical lines which is commonly found in architecture photography. Then I have to overcome my fear of height and went up to the opposite skyscraper to shoot this so that I can minimize the vertical distortion. So it is a pleasing “achievement”, haha 🙂

I didn’t think it was an easy snapshot, the symmetry of the building is just too much. But… I didn’t know it was this challenging. You are a perfectionist in photography, Jeremy! Awesome!!!
Thank you for explaining it. 🙂
