omg, I just realize that I must have accidentally unfollowed your blog and missed out a few posts! I just followed again. btw, thank you for your compliment.
Amazing work, Jeremy. This shot is stunning from so many angles: so life-like, the reflections, earthly coloured tones. How…did Buzz fly? I wonder if the same can be done to my Mr Wobbles or if he is just too heavy a fatty 😀
Actually to make him fly is the easy part, I just had to hang him with a very thin thread. The difficult part was to make the thread “invisible”, by not focusing on it and intentionally over-exposing so that it could blend with the background. And don’t bother to spot the thread with your hawk eyes, because I have made sure it is flawless, haha. Mr Wobbles will be too heavy, but I guess a fishing line may hold his weight and do the same trick 🙂
You really are good with setting up your shots. Blowing up the photo full size, I’m guessing the thread is hung right at the back of Buzz’s neck, just a bit behind the green dot…
Now you’ve got Mr Wobbles all excited. Oh dear 😀
Thanks, Tina! I hung him on a thin thread, then played with camera settings so that the thread appeared invisible. But the key is to bend his legs and use a reflective surface (my dining table) so that it is more convincing that his feet are not touching the ground. I figured out after multiple failed attempts 🙂
that is a cool image…to infinity and beyond…

Yeah! Danbo!!! 😀 Love how the Toy Story robot (keep forgetting the name) is flying.

Thanks, Hanni. He’s Buzz Lightyear. Interestingly, you know Danbo who is far less famous 😀

It’s because I never really watched toy story, but have a Danbo at home 😉
