Cities are always in transition, some quicker than the others. These apartments in the foreground are probably just two or three decades “young”, but it is already time for them to be demolished and make way for the taller condominiums.

Beautifully shot once again, J. Looks like the buildings are like toys or legos…looks like a miniature effect there with what you’ve done. Taller and taller those buildings go in many Asian cities. That’s normal now. Change is always in the air 😉

I’ve always enjoyed miniature effect. In the past, this can only be achieved with tilt-shift lens, which I could not afford and in fact I didn’t even own a camera which allows me to switch lenses. Then, I learned to fake it through post-processing, but I’ve never been good at Photoshop. Nowadays, we can easily do it by using certain function in most mid-range cameras or smartphones. Cheers to technology 🙂

Great shot and perfect for the theme. Was that picture taken in HK?

Hi Kat, this picture was actually taken in Shenzhen (China), which is just across the border of HK. Oh, btw I’m in your favorite country India at this moment. Work trip in Delhi, but no time for sight-seeing 🙂

Oh really? Hahha…well, enjoy Delhi, even if it means you’re stuck at work. Hope you get a chance to do a little bit of sight-seeing though 🙂

How was your trip to India?

I was in Delhi for 3 weeks, just work and didn’t get a chance to go around. It’s an awesome place for street photography but that’s not really my genre and I’m too shy to shoot strangers. I’m going back there in a few weeks time, a second chance to see more of India 🙂
